Webinista WreadIt: A text-to-speech plugin for WordPress

Audio versions of blog posts and news articles are all the rage. They're very convenient if you want to consume an article while, say, washing the dishes. They do, however, require some coding knowledge or a third-party service to implement.

Webinista WreadIt aims to smooth that process a little bit for WordPress users. Currently in beta, Webinista WreadIt uses Amazon Polly to turn your text-based blog posts into MP3 or Ogg Vorbis files.

You will need an Amazon Web Services account in order to use it. The product home page has instructions for setting things up.

Webinista WreadIt is open source, using the GPLv3 license. Download the webinista-readit.zip package directly from GitHub.
